MEETING WITH TOWN HALLS AND HEADS OF VILLAGES

Cameroon has been trying for many years to attract investors to its soil. This is fashionable because economic emulation is boosted each time there are new players. The mayors and village chiefs who are all guarantors of the aspirations of the respective local populations, have a strong role to play in improving the business climate. It is therefore right that the association BANTU DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE works for decentralized cooperation partnerships between the Cameroon and theGermany, which associate two villages or municipalities, which forge friendly relations based on an official link (a twinning charter, a partnership agreement, etc.).

Goals

Cooperation within the framework of twinning aims to bring together experts from Germany with Cameroonian mayors and traditional chiefs in order to make the cooperation between Cameroon and Germany a little more noticeable. Two local authorities come together to act in a European perspective, to confront their problems and to develop bonds of friendship between them. Twinning offers an invaluable pool of experiences and initiatives to develop and promote cooperation and friendship between the populations of the two countries.

This type of partnership is essential for the dynamism of relations between Cameroon and Germany and we offer different types of exchanges, whether linguistic, academic, cultural, economic, environmental, professional ... Cooperation will contribute to better mutual understanding between the two partner countries, through mayors and village chiefs. In Cameroon as in Germany, the Association BANTU DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE drives the twinning movement in each country and supports local communities in their respective commitments.

At SYGERCAM 2022

The initiative of the meeting with mayors and village chiefs at SYGERCAM 2022 is to bring a panel of experts from Germany who will present and inform Cameroonian mayors and village chiefs on the keys to a partnership with Germany, possible partnerships with German town halls as well as German ethics and mores.
